Frequent Questions

Our voters have special designations that effect the positions for which they’re eligible to vote. Can the ballot adjust in sympathy to that?
Yes. Such ballots are called chameleon ballots.

How long after the close of the election does it take to know the results?
Seconds.

What type of information is displayed in the election results?
Visit the Sample Election Results page for a sampling of the type of information included in all election results.

Where will the electronic ballot be hosted?
On ElectionsOnline’s secure web server. If using Evote Express, voters are directed to https://www.electionsonline.us/election. If using Evote Web Service, the election is still hosted on ElectionsOnline servers even though you may integrate that functionality into your own web site.

Can the ballot be made to look like one of our web site’s pages?
Yes. Use Evote Web Service to allow integrating the election into your own web site.

We don’t have email addresses for all our voters. Can we still move our election to the web?
Yes. Voters with an email address on record receive an email confirmation after submitting a ballot, but it isn’t necessary.
